An experiment that didn't turn out exactly like I wanted.
For those of you wondering what it was I was trying to do, see this link (I didn't have a paperclip so I had to make do with the pull tab of a pepsi can and an earring):

A photo-a-day on many subjects (macro, nature, animals, still life, scenic, cityscapes, etc.)

Now I'm curious about how you wanted it. I really love the patterns in gray and black. The bottom one is an earring, but the mystery is, what is it floating in? I'm guessing soap. The top one is a complete mystery. I really like the effect of both (but wish I could see what you wish you had captured :-)
The top is from a can. What do I win? :p
Beautiful forms..
This are pretty interesting shots! I can't wait to see what your vision is when you do get the experiment the way you want it!
I'm another one left wondering what it is you were after!!! :o) What you have posted has created an interesting effect and your editing works nicely :o)
I'm also trying to imaging how the experiment was supposed to turn out.
Very unusual and original images.
Such a simple idea with great results!
Well now, after seeing the bbc photo (which is fabulous, btw), I have to say that I think you came pretty darn close to what you were after. Makes me want to try it now!
I kinda like the effect of this....it's a neat idea that I haven't seen done before. The illusions created by this technique are really pleasant.
These are wonderful - I like them better than the linked image
I think the coke tab one turned out very interesting.
Wow Karen I think you did great, doesnt have to be exactly like what inspired you, you are creating a look of your own! Great shots.
