Fireworks last night across the harbour. For a while it was snowing and really windy, we didn't think the fireworks would go ahead. But they did and it was a great show.

Lots of ice in the river, we've had a cold snap, it was -6.8ºC when I was taking these pictures this afternoon. Both pictures taken with a long shutter speed.

Christmas Day

A busy day today, turkey dinner, gift opening, calls to family and then the big clean up. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas Day. Here is a different photo of our tree with gifts for the family underneath it. I decided to give it a sepia look.

Christmas Eve

The presents are wrapped and under the tree, the stockings are stuffed, the table is set, the turkey is ready for the oven tomorrow morning. Merry Christmas everyone!

I went to the Basilica Museum today where they have over 100 nativities from all over the world on Display.

I walked around Mundy Pond this morning, it was around 7ºC. Pretty well all of the snow has melted, I wonder will we have a green Christmas?

Downtown today on a sunny but cold day.

Northern Flicker

This Flicker came to the deck and ate a peanut when the blue jays were getting them. I didn't think a Flicker would eat a peanut, I thought they ate mostly insects. Oh well, I guess when it is -6 and there's snow on the ground a peanut will do.

The first picture was taken in Bowring Park and the 2nd is of Waterford Manor.

The Rooms

The Rooms (art gallery/museum) downtown. I was hoping it would be more lit up with Christmas lights but it wasn't. The poles wrapped with lights don't have much impact.

Shattered

This ornament fell off the tree and shattered when I was decorating the tree, I kept it so I could take pictures of it.

My friend wanted me to take a picture of my Willow Tree Angel collection, here they are. I put my Christmas tree up today (not decorated yet) so that made a nice background.

Christmas is Coming

Christmas is coming and I've wrapped a lot of gifts, I've also received some (of course they will stay wrapped until Christmas morning). This one is from my sister, she always wraps them so nicely.
