Munich, Day 2

We did a lot of walking today. First from our hotel to Marienplatz, the main square in old town Munich. We walked all around the streets, went inside Frauenkirche, which is huge (unfortunately there were renovations on the outside), and then went to the top of New Town Hall where we had fantastic views of the city. From there we walked around the market area (Viktualienmarkt) and had lunch. After that it was more walking the city streets past beautiful, old buildings. We ended up in Hofgarten and took the subway back to our hotel after about 10.5 km of walking.

Walking around European cities feels so natural. Everybody does it and the public transit is great. I always feel safe too!
