We drove across the island today, planning on spending Thanksgiving weekend with my family in Springdale. We almost made it (about 20 minutes away) but we came upon an accident that closed the highway. The road was closed for several hours and rather than wait any longer on the highway in the night we decided to stay in Grand Falls overnight. Hopefully the highway will be open tomorrow morning and we can make it to Springdale.

Sorry to hear about your travel delay. I grew up in Grand Falls so it's nice to see fall photos of Central Newfoundland. Beautiful shots.
