We went back to Rattling Brook to see the iceberg again today, it has moved a bit. There were also icebergs in Little Bay.

There is an iceberg in Rattling Brook, Green Bay. The first time I have ever seen an iceberg in the fall.

Central Newfoundland

We drove across the island today, planning on spending Thanksgiving weekend with my family in Springdale. We almost made it (about 20 minutes away) but we came upon an accident that closed the  highway. The road was closed for several hours and rather than wait any longer on the highway in the night we decided to stay in Grand Falls overnight. Hopefully the highway will be open tomorrow morning and we can make it to Springdale.

Springdale

Since we've gotten here we've had really cold temperatures folowed by rain and then back to well below freezing again. There is ice everywhere.

We're in Springdale for the long weekend, in spite of the rain we drove around and did a bit of sightseeing.
