I saw these berries on a tree on a walking trail today, not sure what type they are.
Update: they have been identified as Northern Wild Raisin (Viburnum cassinoides).

I saw these berries on a tree on a walking trail today, not sure what type they are.

Karen, I believe that this berry is an elderberry but not being an expert, I stand to be corrected. May the force be with you.

are they really elderberries? the elderberries here are red. maybe russian honeysuckle? they are kinda oblongish shaped instead of rounder. maybe? if you find out, let me know. berry fanatic here.
Of course, it is the elusive Wild Northern Raisin.
