Beach Macro

I love all the different shapes and colours of beach rocks and I found a tiny frozen starfish too.

Beach Finds

I found the pink coral on the beach a couple of weeks ago and brought it home to photograph. I've never seen pink coral before.

Found

One of my favourite things to do is walk along a beach and see what I can see. I did that yesterday at Middle Cove Beach. Rocks, seaweed, shells and other interesting things made good subjects for my macro lens. Oh, and if anyone can tell me what the first item is, I'd like to know. A bone of some sort I assume.
Edit: I have found out that the item in the first photo is a sea urchin's mouth, photo here.

Starfish

I went to Middle Cove Beach today and saw lots of starfish washed up on the beach. I collected them all together for photos then put them back where the waves could take them back to the ocean. Some were missing arms but you could see where new ones were growing. While I was there a family came by and we were talking about the starfish. One of the children asked me if I was a scientist.....very cute.

Starfish

Starfish on Middle Cove beach today, thanks to the woman who told me they were there (they were really tiny). I rarely find starfish.
