Tufted Ducks, Bufflehead & Black-Tailed Gull

I went to Quidi Vidi Lake to try and get some good pictures of the small Bufflehead Duck that is there. You can see how small it is compared to the other ducks. It was sleeping though and did not come very close to me. That's where my zoom lens came in handy. I was talking to a birdwatcher there and he pointed out the Black-tailed Gull to me. I don't know very many different types of gulls (except the common ones) and this is a rare bird for Newfoundland. It is from Japan and this is only the 2nd time it has been recorded in Newfoundland. There are also lots of Tufted Ducks at the lake and now that the lake has frozen over they are close and easy to photograph.
