We flew home and it was clear all though the United States (it clouded over as soon as we hit the great lakes). We flew over deserts, farmland, the Grand Canyon and the Rocky Mountains. I think I even saw smoke from the big wildfire in Colorado. In spite of a dirty plane window (and plane windows are polarized, making photos taken through them very dark) and sitting over the engine, I still managed to get some cool pictures of the landscape. In the first photo you can see Newport Beach and Balboa Island.
