Joe gave me a neutral density filter for my birthday (ND 110) that will let me take long exposures in the day. The 2 pictures of Middle Cove were taken around noon and are 20 to 30 second exposures. As you can see from the photo of the filter itself, it's very dark and doesn't let in much light. I also had fun lighting candles.

Happy birthday. Looking forward to seeing more of that filter in action.
Happy Birthday Karen!
Wow. Those photos are beautiful. There are so many possibilities!
Have fun.

I have only recently discovered your page. Your pictures are exceptional - I am a keen amateur and (inevitably?) a self professed critic. So many amateur photography pages are pretty blah but I think you have real talent. I shall follow your page on a regular basis.
Oh - and happy birthday!
Nice work with the ND filter. I haven't used mine for ages, but maybe it's time to dust them off.
Happy Birthday.
Hope you had a great birthday, Karen.
One of these days, I will purchase a digital SLR -- I do enjoy the smaller digital cameras!! It's been a while since I enjoyed my Nikon FE..lenses...esp 90mm macro....etc. When I look at your photographs, it all comes back to me.....have to find the time!!
You are an artist.
All the best!!
Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes!
Happy birtyday :-) LOVE the pics of Middle Cove.
Happy Belated Birthday, from Korea!
