The Olympic torch is making its way through Newfoundland and today it was just a few minutes from my house. My nephew Mark will be carrying it on Sunday in Deer Lake and I won't be there to see him so I am glad I got to see it today.Friday, November 13, 2009

The Olympic torch is making its way through Newfoundland and today it was just a few minutes from my house. My nephew Mark will be carrying it on Sunday in Deer Lake and I won't be there to see him so I am glad I got to see it today.

This brings back memories for me. I was working at St. John's City Hall when the flame for the Calgary Olympics came by our doorstep.
