Both photos were taken in the same place, both are pretty much straight from the camera with very little editing. The different look comes from different exposures.
A photo-a-day on many subjects (macro, nature, animals, still life, scenic, cityscapes, etc.)

I like black and white a lot .) not so bad I may say .) (ok, it's great, but I prefer your nature pics)
