John Cabot
John Cabot discovered Newfoundland in 1497. I guess he didn't know about the Vikings. This statue is in front of the Confederation Building.

Railway Coastal Museum
This used to be the train station but there are no trains in Newfoundland anymore. Now it is a museum with displays and information on the history of the railway and coastal boats in Newfoundland.

Janeway Play Garden
Today I was a volunteer photographer at the Janeway Children's Hospital for the grand opening of their new play garden. It was a beautiful sunny day with lots of kids and families present to enjoy the park.

Cape Spear
I went to Cape Spear today, it was really hot in the city so I thought it would be cooler with a breeze out there. I was wrong, it was really hot there too. For those who don't know, Cape Spear is the most easterly point of land in North America. Two pictures, the working lighthouse and the old lighthouse which is now a museum.

Bell Island
We went to Bell Island today. It's a 20 minute drive and then a 20 minute ferry ride over. 2 ferries make several trips a day. I took over 200 pictures, it was hard deciding which ones to show here.

Signal Hill Trail
2 pictures of the trail, the first one of someone about to start the descent down, another one zoomed in on part of the trail. If you look closely you can see some people. I've walked this trail and it's not too bad when you're going down!

Blue
It rained off and on all day so my photographic opportunities were limited. This is simply raindrops on the lid of the grill with the colour altered.
