Molting Blue Jay

There were 4 Blue Jays in the back garden today so I threw out some peanuts for them. One of the jays didn't have many feathers on his head. He's a bit comical looking.

More indoor experiments because surprise, surprise, it's raining again today.

Buskers

A few photos from the Busker Festival downtown today. The guy in red was very entertaining, in the 3rd photo he dislocated his shoulders to do a contortionist act. He also juggled fire, swords and ate fire.

Robins

I saw these robins in our bird bath today, the young one had a bath after it was fed by its parent. Very cute.

Another Rainy Day

*Sigh*, another cold rainy day. I hope it clears up soon. The first photo is a weed in my lawn, interesting how the tendrils have wrapped around a blade of grass. The flower is Mallow, a wildflower growing in my back garden. I edited it to reflect the dreariness of the day.

These flowers were growing in my front lawn. I think they escaped from a neighbour's garden. Since it has been raining all day and not fit for outdoor photography, I picked them and shot them inside.

Windsor Lake View

I went geocahing today, this was the view I got after a 15 minute walk uphill. It was partly drizzly so the view was a bit obscured.

Exploring the Garden in the Rain

It was drizzly but warm all day. I puttered around the garden looking for interesting things to take macro shots of. I have a small city garden but I still managed to find lots to photograph on this wet day. I have no idea what the green insect is but it was teeny tiny. The wildflower it is on is less than an inch across, so that will give you some idea of how small the insect is.
