It was overcast and cool today. We walked through Beacon Hill Park, a very pretty park and there were even flowers and trees blooming. The park goes to the coast and we saw the Mile 0 marker.....interesting to us as there is also a Mile 0 in St. John's.
We had a beautiful sunny day for sightseeing. We walked along the inner harbour and through the downtown streets. Here are photos of a totem pole in Thunderbird Park, houseboats, sailboats, a school in Chinatown and the Empress Hotel in the evening sun.
We flew to Victoria today, what a long flight! Here are a couple of photos of the Parliament Buildings and the Inner Harbour.
It was cold and icy but since it was sunny I decided to go out and take some photos. I was doing well until both my batteries died!!
There is not much to photograph with a macro lens in the winter. All of the plants are covered with snow and the trees are bare. But I did manage to take a few macro photos today near Long Pond.
A few photos from Cape Spear today. It was a beautiful day, not too cold, with a nice sky for photos.
We went for a drive around The Goulds today. It's not far from the city but I rarely go there and if I do it's just to drive on the main road and pass the community. Today I'm glad I went on some of the back roads.
Always the same but always different. I love Signal Hill for its view and ever changing weather, it makes for great photo opportunities.
