Kent's Pond

It was very calm this morning, something that doesn't happen often around here. The fall colours were beautiful reflecting in Kent's Pond. The few ripples in the pond were caused by a dog swimming nearby.

I put this on the deck today for the Blue Jays....it didn't take them long to find it.

Red, White, Blue and Green

Caribou Moss and blueberries still on the bush. The leaves of the blueberry bushes are turning bright red and really stand out against the white moss. The crackerberry leaves are turning too.

Geocaching

Joe and I have been geocachers since May 2007. In that time we have found almost 250 caches and hidden 24 of our own. If you don't know what geocaching is, you can read all about it here. Today I did a geocache in Torbay. I walked a short distance on a wooded trail and found the cache hiding in an old tree.

What a beautiful day to walk around the Botanical Gardens and admire the autumn blooms and colours.

Wet Webs and Fall Colours

I went for a walk in Bowring Park in the morning when it was foggy and damp. There were spider webs everywhere, all glistening with the rain. It was still so they hadn't been blown away by the wind and they were sort of surreal looking, especially the dead tree covered with them.
