Botanical Gardens

The rain stopped and the fog lifted and it was actually warm today!!! I went to the Botanical Gardens and took a ton of photos.

Ignite

I've been wanting to try shots like this for a while. It's not easy to get a match just as it ignites. My biggest problem is overexposing the flame.

Rain Rain Go Away

The weather has been terrible for days. Lots of fog and rain and cold too! This was taken in my flower box. Poor tulips haven't even opened up yet because of the lack of sun.

Ambassador Award & Swans

Joe and I went to City Hall today to receive an Ambassador of Hospitality Award from Hospitality NL for our website. We're very honoured to get this award and pleased that so many people enjoy our photos and website. Sorry, no photos of me accepting the award since I prefer to stay behind the camera. I also took pictures of the swans in Bowring Park today.

Wild Violets

These wildflowers are very tiny. The white one is Northern White Violet and the purple/blue one is Northern Blue Violet.

Another Day Another Hike

I hiked up to the top of the hill in Cuckold's Cove today, not sure if it's considered to be in Cuckold's Cove or Quidi Vidi. It was very steep! Amazing views from the top. I could see 2 icebergs, one very close.

Bowring Park

It was a nice warm day so I went to Bowring Park. I took lots of photos of the flowers and was happy to see baby ducks. I looked for the baby swans but either they have not hatched yet or are still in the nest.

Fog From Signal Hill

I managed to get these picturse and get back to my vehicle before the torrential downpour. I am sure not everyone on Signal Hill was as lucky.
