Finally a sunny day that I could enjoy. I spent some time taking photos of the birds in Bowring Park this morning.

Thin Ice and No Snow

We managed to get out of the house today for a drive, after being housebound with the flu for over a week. We drove to Portugal Cove-St. Philip's and then on to Manuels. We had a lot of rain a couple of days ago and I was surprised to see how little snow they have out that way. We have more in the city than they do.

More Flowers

I am still sick so this is all I managed today. Hopefully I will soon be over this flu and able to get outside to get more interesting photos.

Birthday Flowers

I got a lovely mixed bouquet for my birthday and since I am housebound with the flu it was the obvious option for my blog today.

Birthday Gifts

Yes, today is my birthday. I got gifts and cards and emails and phone calls. And if it wasn't for the fact that I was sick with the flu it would have been a perfect birthday! Joe got me a carrot cake (my favourite) and a GorillaPod. It's a neat travel sized tripod that you can wrap around poles and railings or stand on uneven surfaces. It will come in handy when we travel. He also gave me 2 remotes for my camera, something I have been wanting for a while.

In all Kinds of Weather

We had a repairman come to the house today to do some upgrades on our internet service. He had to work in the snow for 1/2 of the time, and it was snowing heavily at the time.

Joe and I play this game a lot. It is a trivia game made in Canada but you can't buy it anymore; I bought this on eBay several years ago.
