We took the subway to downtown Washington this evening to Union Station.

A bit too hot for the animals to be out this evening, I think we should have followed their example! The first animal is a Red Panda.

Washington National Zoo

I went to the zoo this morning for a little while. The zoo is huge and it was really hot so I only got to see a small part of it. It's not far from our hotel so I will be going back again (and again).

From St. John's to Toronto to Washington, DC

A long day of travel, but worth it for a vacation. Some photos taken out the window of the plane on our flight today. While I am away I'll be editing photos on a laptop so the quality might not be as good.

Octagon Pond

I walked around Octagon Pond in Paradise today. I've never walked around it before, it took me about an hour but I was going slow and taking photos along the way. It's a really nice path except for the part where you have to walk along the side of the road.

Government House

Government House is located downtown on Military Road. It is the official residence of the Lieutenant Governor, the Queen's representative in Newfoundland.
