The Newfoundland Insectarium from Deer Lake has a special display at the greenhouse in Bowring Park......live butterflies! I went over there this morning and took a ton of pictures. Here are some of my favourites.

In Thin Ice

We went for a drive to Conception Bay South today, saw these boats in thin ice at the Foxtrap marina.

CD Colours

A macro of a CD that was placed in the microwave for 5 seconds. I have used this type of photo for my blog before, but each time I photograph this CD it turns out differently. I like the colours that appear under the lights.

Solitary

Yes, my flowers are still alive. This was taken in front of window blinds.

This is the resident goose at Quidi Vidi Lake. I got pretty close and also got hissed at a few times.

We sold our old TV today so I took some macros of the $100 bill. This is Sir Robert Borden who was Prime Minister of Canada from 1911-1920.

I bought a bouquet of flowers today. The snow was melting, the sun was shining and spring is on the way!

Frosty Tree

This morning it was -6ºC and we had fog and frost. I walked around part of Signal Hill taking pictures of the frost covered trees. We don't see heavy frost like this around here often.

I took some photos of a sparkler this evening, the first time I have tried this. I was happy with the results. I am also including a negative image of the sparkler because I think it's neat.
