Bubble Tea & Fairy Tea

The first photo, "Bubble Tea" won a 3rd place ribbon at DPC. This evening I experimented again with the teapot and came up with something I call Fairy Tea. I don't like it as much as the Bubble Tea photo.

Overcast & Foggy

Taken in Outer Cove today. I saw a loon in the water but it was too far away to get a good shot.

And here's a photo that I won 3rd place for at DPC (out of 232 entries). It was originally in 4th place but 3rd place got eliminated so mine moved up).

Downtown

Downtown this afternoon. We got about 70 cm of snow over the weekend now all the streets are more narrow than usual and the sidewalks are like tunnels. And it's snowing again! Anybody want to send me a plane ticket to Hawaii?

On a happier note, this photo will be photo of the day at Kodak tomorrow and will be featured on their big screen in Times Square. So if you're in NYC have a look and take a picture of the big screen for me!

Same Photo, 2 Sites

This photo won "photo of the day" at two sites today, Picture of the Day and My Fun Photo Contest. It's the lighthouse at Cape Spear, the most easterly point of land in North America. It's only about a 20 minute drive from my house and a great spot to take pictures.
