Back to Signal Hill again today, there's always something to take a photo of up there. The first photo looks steeper than it actually is, I walked down there with no problem. That's Cabot Tower right at the top.

Portugal Cove-St. Philip's

It was a beautiful day today, 12ºC and little wind. I went out hoping to find a few geocaches. I didn't find them but I did take a few pictures and walk a new trail. Can you see the creepy face/skull in the last photo? It's ice on the hill side.

Moss

I don't know what this moss is called but it is all over the trees in the woods around here. My father used to call it "Maw Dow". I checked the Newfoundland dictionary and they list it as a type of beard moss, referred to as moldow, maldow or moldown. (Link here)

Vases

Both photos were taken in the same place, both are pretty much straight from the camera with very little editing. The different look comes from different exposures.

Cormorants in the Harbour

I was at Harbourside Park today and saw 6 cormorants sunning themselves on the dock. It's the first time I have seen Cormorants this close and acting that way.
