Geocaching With Mark

My nephew is visiting so we went geocaching this afternoon and found 4 caches. All 4 were along Rennie's River trail.

Reagan National Airport

We left Washington today and are now home safe and sound in spite of a 2 hour delay in Montreal and a lost suitcase (I'd better get it back tomorrow!!!).

Downtown DC

The White House front and back, people touring the city on segways, people lined up to go up in the Washington Monument.

US Botanic Garden

We did a bit of sightseeing in downtown Washington today, these pictures were taken at the Botanic Garden.

Baltimore

Today we drove to Baltimore and went to the National Aquarium and walked around the Inner Habour.

Mount Vernon and the Memorials at Night

Today we went to Mount Vernon, the estate and farm of George Washington. This evening we took some photos of the Washington Monument, the WW II Memorial and the Lincoln Memorial.

Arlington National Cemetery

We visited Arlington National Cemetery today. We saw JFK's grave site, Robert E. Lee House, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the Iwo Jima Memorial.

We took the subway to downtown Washington this evening to Union Station.

More From the Zoo

A bit too hot for the animals to be out this evening, I think we should have followed their example! The first animal is a Red Panda.

Washington National Zoo

I went to the zoo this morning for a little while. The zoo is huge and it was really hot so I only got to see a small part of it. It's not far from our hotel so I will be going back again (and again).

From St. John's to Toronto to Washington, DC

A long day of travel, but worth it for a vacation. Some photos taken out the window of the plane on our flight today. While I am away I'll be editing photos on a laptop so the quality might not be as good.
